INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS/RESULTS
The 1999 World T&F Championships in Seville will be Elaine's first major track Championships. Earlier this year she represented Ireland at the World Cross-Country 4KM Championships in Belfast. She represented Ireland in the 1999 Cork City Sports where she won the 1500m. A former Celtic Games Champion in 1989, Elaine has achieved personal best times in every event this year including races in the St Louis Grand Prix, Prefontaine Classic, and the Papendal Games.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS/RESULTS
Elaine won her first BLE National Senior T&F Championship over 1500m in 1999. The Waterford girl has won BLE junior (1992), and U23 (1995) titles in the past on the track. In cross-country she became the first winner of the BLE 4KM World Cross-Country Trial in Dublin in March 1999. Her 1500m personal best ranks fifth on the Irish All-Time list.

1999 FORM
Elaine has raced extensively in 1999 setting five personal bests over a variety of distances from 800 - 5000m. She recorded six sub 4.15 performances for 1500m in the St. Louis GP, Prefontaine Classic, Cork City Sports, Watford BMC, BLE T&F, culminating in a 4.09.12 personal best in the Papendal Games, Holland. She has recorded three sub 2.10 performances for 800m in the Georgia Invitational, BLE League, and a 2.06.96 in the Antrim International. The Alabama based girl also set a PB to win the 3000m in 9.07 in Mt. Sac, USA.
