Asked about her draw in the semi-final, Doyle stated, "She has the perfect semifinal heat today which includes heavy race favourite Grit Breuer. It is going to be fast and Karen will be right in the mix. She has the ninth fastest time overall from yesterday's heats."
"On what Karen must do to progress," he suggested that, "while I am confident she can be in the final on Tuesday, it will take a new national record to get there. From her training though, Karen's preparation is perfect, and everything indicates that she is ready to run extremely fast."
