Marie McMahon-Davenport ran 31.59.29 to place fourth in the Cardinal Invitational held 3rd May at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

Her time of 31.59.29 makes McMahon-Davenport the third fastest women at the 10-kilometre distance behind Sonia O'Sullivan (30.53.37, Sydney, Australia, 30/09/00) and Catherina McKiernan (31.08.41, Villeneuve D'ascq, France, 17/06/95).

The Marian AC Olympian (Atlanta 1996) also ran 15.29.83 to place third in the 5,000m at the Mount SAC (San Antonio College) Relays held in Walnut, California on 19th April. McMahon-Davenport (Ennistymon, Co. Clare) as of 9th May, is ranked 4th in the World in the 5,000m and 13th in the 10,000-metre event.
