Team Shamrock Ireland, a group comprised of Irish runners placed eighth overall in the Jimmy Stewart Relay Marathon.
Members of the team show here, left to right were Mike Wallace, John Hickey, Neville Davey, Marie Murphy and Gerard Deegan. The team was organised by Deegan, himself an Irish International Duathlete. Each athlete ran approximately 5.25 miles. Team Shamrock's time for the marathon distance was 2:31:46. The race was won by Gardena Reebok in 2:17.38.
