Seamus Power, (Kilmurray Ibrickane AC) won the adidas Irish Runner Challenge 5-mile road race in Dublin's Phoenix Park on 20th July. Power ran 24.06, well clear of runner-up Irish Olympian Noel Berkeley (Dundrum South Dublin) who crossed the line next in 24.41. Power will hope to have the same luck when he races in Dublin this fall at the adidas Dublin Marathon. Catherina McKiernan (Cornafean AC) continues he steady comeback. She won the women's race in 27.01, 11 second ahead of defending champion, Pauline Curley, (Tullamore Harriers), 27.11, and Maria McCambridge, (Dundrum South Dublin), third in 28.40. | Seamus Power ![]() |
