Dundrum Duo Win Irish Milers Club Opener

On a windy and dark evening, with conditions not suitable for fast running. Runners from DSD dominated the first Irish Milers Club races of the season. In the men's 3000m, Robert Connolly (DSD) fought a great duel with Colm McLean of St Malachy's, winning the race in a time of 8.20.53.

In the women's 3000-metre event, Maria McCambridge (DSD)(50) proved far too strong and won with an impressive 9.15, followed by Maria Lynch (DSD) with Ann Marie Larkin (Tullamore) third.
