Maria McCambridge (Dundrum South Dublin) and Kenyan Charles Kiplagat won the individual titles at the Gerry Farnan Cross Country races held in Dublin's Phoenix Park on 19th October.

McCambridge ran 15.58 on the 3-mile course, more than a half-minute ahead of runner-up Anne Marie Larkin (Tullamore Harriers) in 16.30. DSD's Linda Byrne, still a junior showed impressive early form placing 8th overall and only 79 seconds off the winners' time.

Raheny's Mark Kenneally was the first Irishman home covering the 5-mile course in 24.20.
