Maria McCambridge won the Senior Women's race and helped Dundrum win their second team title on the day. DSD had four runners in the top ten to win with 18 points with the Donore Harriers in second place with 45 points. Aoife Byrne (3rd, 19.13), back from a training stint in America, Gladys Ganiel (4th, 20.15) and Sonja O'Connell (10th, 21.15) were the scorers for the Dundrum club. Mark Kenneally (Raheny Shamrock) annihilated the field in the Men's Senior race winning in 29.41, more than a minute ahead of runner-up Clonliffe's Killian Lonergan who ran 30.46. Despite two runners in the top 10, Raheny couldn't hold off the Clonliffe Harriers who won the team title with 92 points, 6 less than Rahney's total. | Mark Kenneally ![]() |
Eritrea-born athlete, Azmera Gebrezgi who now competes for the Dublin City Harriers got the better of DSD rival Linda Byrne winning the Junior Women's title in 12.39, two seconds ahead Byrne. These two along with Fionualla Britton will make for an exciting race at the upcoming Intercounties. Clonliffe's Francis Nic Riamoin may also be in the mix as shown by her impressive third place at theses Dublin Championships where she placed third in 12.46.< The Clonliffe Harriers finished with 31 points upsetting perennial winners Dundrum South Dublin who finished with 34 points. Nicola Fallon (5th, 13.33), Christina Kenneally (7th, 13.39) and Ciara Meehan (14.57) were the other scores for Clonliffe. Alan McCormack (DSD) won the Men's Junior event in 17.54, four seconds clear of Raheny's Richard Corcoran.
