Daniel Caulfield placed second in the 800m for the second year in a row at the Millrose Games. American David Krummenacker (1.52.30) edged Caulfield (1.52.42) who lead for most the race that was held at New York City's historic Madison Square Garden on 1st February. Caulfield competes for the Dublin City Harriers and holds the Irish Indoor 800m (1.47.21) record. He finished fifth in the 800m semifinals at the 2002 World Indoor Championships. Leevale's Marcus O'Sullivan, a five-time winner of the Wanamaker Mile was inducted into the Millrose Hall of Fame on Friday evening. O'Sullivan ran 11 sub four-minute miles in the Wanamaker race, more than any other athlete, including the occasion when he did so for the 100th time in his career. |
