Mark Kenneally was in the hunt for the minor placings before a fall lost him three places leaving him in seventh in 30.32. Orla O'Mahoney had an excellent debut to her international cross country season with a solid eight place finish. O'Mahoney has just returned from a training week in Providence and finished in a time of 25.00, just under a minute behind Hungarian star Anna Kalovics, who will be one of the favourites in Legano at the European Cross Country in a months time. O'Mahoney will be looking to join her in Italy at the Irish trials in Dungarvan on November 26th. Also looking to join her in Legano will be Orla Drumm, who was an easy winner in the U-23 race in a time of 19.03, over a minute ahead of two German athletes. Mick Clohissey and Mark Kirwan of Raheny placed first and second in the men's U-23 race in impressive style in times of 22.23 and 22.32 respectively. |

Vinny Mulvey had an excellent win in the Dublin Championships on his return to racing after a long lay off due to a knee injury. The Raheny athlete pulled away from Clonliffe pair Cian Mc Loughlin and Colm Rooney and ended up with a facile victory. European Junior Cross Country fourth placer in 2005, Linda Byrne won the women's race.
