The Kip Keino Athletics Meet will take place at Irishtown Stadium in Ringsend, Dublin 4 on Saturday, 15th July. All proceeds from the race will go to the Kip Keino orphanage know as the LEWA Children's Home in Eldoret, Kenya. Races on the day will accommodate all, whether old or young, from the serious club runners chasing times to the ordinary joggers, where their will be a special mile held. All runners are welcome to compete. The entry fee is €10 per runner. Kipchoge ("Kip") Keino was among the first in a long lineage of successful middle and long distance runners to come from Kenya and has helped and inspired many of his fellow countrymen and women to become the athletics force that they are today. Keino, 66, is a Two-Time Olympic Gold Medallist winning the 1,500m at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico and then the 3,000m steeplechase four years later in Munich.
