Mark Kenneally Runs 14.16.16 at IMC Irishtown 5k

James Nolan ran 3.43.01 to place ninth in the 1,500 metres at the Thales Fanny Blankers-Koen Games (IAAF Grand Prix) meet in Hengelo, Nederlands on 28th May. Kenyan Suleiman Simotwo won the event in 3.36.88.

Feidhlim Kelly, from Raheny Shamrock won the 800m A race at the Irish Milers Club race held in Irishtown on 27th May. Clonliffe's Mark Kenneally was the first Irishman in the Men's 5,000-metre event in 14.16.16 with Slavko Petrovic from Croatia the event winner in 13.53.94. Karl Fahy (Rathfarnham WSAF) was the 800m B race winner in 1.59.22 with Alan Stenson, from Mullingar taking the 800m C race in 1.59.52

David Campbell, from Maynooth, won the first Irish Milers Club event of the 2006 season held at Irishtown on 6th May. Campbell ran an impressive 8.21.11 for 3,000 metres with Paul McNamara of Athenry AC in second place in 8.21.91. Conor Healy (Clonliffe) won the men's 600-metre event in 1.23.55 with Anna Sadowska, running for Dundrum South Dublin taking the women's honours in 1.33.24
