Peter Coghlan & James Nolan Added
16 Irish Athletes To Compete at 2005 European Indoor Championships

Athletics Ireland are pleased to announce that a further five athletes have been added to the team for the forthcoming European Indoor Championships in Madrid, Spain on 4th - 6th March making it the largest Irish team ever for these Championships.

James Nolan (1500m) and Peter Coghlan (60m H) were both added after showing some outstanding form in the past week.

Nolan, a silver medallist from the event in 2000, ran a season's best of 3.41.91 in Madrid on Thursday while Coghlan won a 55m hurdles event in Clemson University in the US on Saturday night.

Nolan also placed 4th on Saturday in 2.21.67 at the Gaz de France meeting over 1,000 metres. The Athebs Olympian goes to 5th on Irish indoor all time list for the distance.
